Bobcat Rob started on piano at five, picked up the guitar at ten, and hasn't really stopped moving since. A New Jersey native who made his way across California, from Tahoe to SoCal to Santa Cruz, he plays gritty folk with country soul, blues-ish, with elements from all over — the kind of music that sounds like it was written somewhere between a long drive and a quiet campfire.
Making his Sea Pines debut, Bobcat Rob brings a solo set to the outdoor patio on a Sunday morning in August. Indie folk, surf-tinged guitar, and a singer-songwriter sensibility that holds its own without a full band behind it.
